This month Fazeel Mohammed\, PhD at the University of Bedfordshire\, will give an insight into: \n“Fluorescence based methods in the monitoring of phytoplankton communities can aid in the management of Harmful Algal Bloom in Aquaculture”\nHarmful algal blooms pose significant challenges to aquaculture and fisheries resources\, causing substantial economic losses and potential food shortages. To address this issue\, a comprehensive approach that combines fluorescence spectroscopy with machine learning models can serve as a reliable solution to enhancing warning systems. This technology can proactively provide steps for the precise identification of harmful algae\, thereby providing an early warning system for aquaculture and ensuring its sustainable future. In this webinar\, we present our initial findings primarily based on literature review and secondary data together with a way forward to address this challenge. \n
